We love our Brits at Land’s End Store and Fashion East Founder Lulu Kennedy presents a perfect snapshot of British Fashion with her label Lulu & Co. Well known designers from Jonathan Saunders to Bella Freud contribute designs for the collaborative label, which sell for slightly less than the designer’s usual retail price.
Land’s End Was very excited to be involved with the second annual Bag Lunch, to benefit the Intensive Care Unit at the Sydney Children’s Hospital. We donated a Proenza Schouler PS11 which along with bags from many others including Louis Vuitton, Chloe and Bulgari were auctioned on the day. It was a beautiful day at Kirribilli House for a very important cause.

These few images spotted on blogs this week reminded us that Kate’s uniform of Balmain blazer + leather pants + perfect tshirt still equal one heart-stoppingly cool girl.
When the sun shines into the spectacular Sydney Opera House on a perfect Thursday morning, and a young man presents a thoughtful and elegant collection like Dion Lee’s yesterday, you have to think; what is not to love about that?

Racquel Zimmerman shares her body secrets with US Vogue in their annual shape issue this month: unfortunately we think it’s a simple case of genetics + one fabulous Roland Mouret dress. At least the dress is for sale!
We are always being asked who are the best dry-cleaners and alterations people to use for your favourite purchases so here you go: we don’t trust anyone else.
Alterations: Vlada Clothing; For those who have visited their studio, tucked away behind the lower level food court, you will have seen that they did the final adjustments to Danielle Spencer’s Armani Prive wedding gown. We have also used her for any number of complicated repairs, she always uses the best replacement fasteners and trims and never makes a mistake. Shop 11, 227 Elizabeth Street, Sydney 2000 (cnr Bathurst). 02 9261 3935.
Drycleaners: Blue and White; it’s no secret that they are the best dry-cleaner in Sydney. For the Eastern Suburbs, TLC on Queen Street are also highly reputable but for us it’s always worth the trip over the bridge. 118 Falcon St, Crows Nest 2065. (02) 9955 6044
Shoe Repair: Shoeworx; you may have to queue behind the staff of nearby boutiques Chanel, Prada and Bulgari getting their delicious leather goods maintained but the quality of workmanship is fantastic. Shop 25/2 Chifley Sq, Sydney 2000. 02 9223 9670
With this week’s announcement of creative director Christophe Decarnin’s departure from Balmain, we can’t help but look back at the items that generated waiting lists so long we stopped taking numbers. The desperation and the frenzy, the cut and the quality (and those prices!) that defined his reign will not be forgotten. The good news is that we still have two two deliveries ahead of his amazingly flattering jeans and perfectly tailored jackets. Don’t stop til you get enough. SEE MORE >
